Dear Mr ...copy of e-mail I have just sent to my MP

Dear Mr Timms,

Can I please draw your attention to two web articles assessing the impact of the Supreme Court ruling in the case of Mrs McDonald. (http://www.supremecourt.gov.uk/docs/UKSC_2011_0005_Judgment.pdf)

The first is from the Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/joepublic/2011/jul/06/dignity-must-have-a-place-in-care-decisions?intcmp=239) asking if the judgment just proves the need for minimum care standards to be legislated into the Social Care Bill.

The second is a general reaction to the verdict from a member of the disabled community who described my feelings and concerns so succinctly I feel better at just using her blog than trying to write anything myself (http://wheresthebenefit.blogspot.com/2011/07/when-dignity-of-one-person-is-denied.html?spref=fb)

All the best for your continued support on the issue of dignity in disabilityJean Eveleighhttp://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/profile.php?id=100000937079370noreply@blogger.com
