Then they stopped my money to my dismay. At first I was horrified but in time i was forced to take over responsibility for my life- or else I wouldn't eat (hunger is a great mtivator believ me!!!).

Within a surprisingly short space of time I was 'normal' back in the workplace and with my head high. I look back now and it is clear I didn't know what was best for me. So thank you Ian Duncan Smith for that much needed kick in the bum without which I'd still be trapped on benefits!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7999633524276247455.post-34450474565147767082015-01-20T18:04:18.713+00:002015-01-20T18:04:18.713+00:00It's incredible that we're still having to...It's incredible that we're still having to point these things out. In addition to all the problems with it, there's the point that leaving people with just their means of subsistence and no treatment was presumably considered the acceptable price of not bothering to make mental health care a priority. It's well known that the mental health of Britain in general is a total mess, but it's "too expensive" to do anything about, right?

Once again, as with residential care closures, the cheaper option that is benefits-only support is deemed too big an expense. The current benefits situation WAS the cost-cutting measure, people; as far as I know there is nowhere to go from here. Hands off our benefits.Jannoreply@blogger.com
